Roles & Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple process engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget and meeting client expectations.
Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior engineers, interns, and contractors, ensuring adherence to industry standards, best practices, and company policies.
Perform detailed process design, including preparation of basic flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, piping & instrumentation diagrams, utility summary and distribution diagrams, and equipment lists.
Develop a deep understanding of the process design basis, process descriptions, and emergency shutdown philosophies to ensure optimal plant performance and safety.
Perform thermal sizing of heat exchangers, air coolers, and other equipment to meet process requirements and optimize energy efficiency.
Calculate sizes of pumps, separators, heat exchangers, air coolers, reactors, agitators, cooling towers, filters, distillation columns, vessels/tanks, and prepare equipment process datasheets.
Perform pump hydraulic calculations, create reports, and prepare datasheets for all types of pumps used in the process.
Size control valves, orifices, and prepare process datasets for instruments such as control valves, on/off valves, flow meters, pressure gauges, temperature sensors, and level transmitters.
Analyze relief devices, perform sizing calculations, and prepare reports and datasheets according to API standards.
Conduct line hydraulic analyses, calculate line sizes and pressure drops, and prepare reports and datasheets.
Prepare design calculations using Microsoft Excel and other software tools to support process engineering deliverables.
Ensure all designs, drawings, and specifications comply with relevant safety, quality, and environmental regulations, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices.
Guide and train junior engineers and interns in process engineering principles, techniques, and tools to enhance their skills and expertise.
- Communication and Collaboration:
Effectively communicate project status, progress, and issues to clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
