Roles & Responsibilities

• Minimum 15-20 years relevant experience with hands on in engineering, designing, detailing, and checking in an engineering consultancy or EPC company and with exposure on international projects within the oil and gas industry.
• 6-10 years of experience in leading Process engineering teams in demanding industrial investment projects, supervising and guiding a team of Process engineers and reporting to project manager.
• Experience in international long-term assignments.
• Applicants must be flexible to work in Europe on a long-term basis.
• Should demonstrate engineering leadership and ownership of the designated projects.
• Must possess a strong working knowledge of downstream oil & gas and/or petrochemical units and operating principles. Must possess a thorough knowledge of industry practices, tools, codes and standards applicable to the discipline.
• Tool knowledge must be hands-on (Aspen tools experience preferred).
• Must demonstrate extensive knowledge in FEED, Design and Detail engineering activities.

Roles & Responsibilities 

• Develop project scopes in the detailed design phase; provide input to project plans and deliverable lists.
• Develop project P&IDs of moderate complexity.
• Develop procurement specifications, documentation, and data sheets of basic to moderate complexity.
• Develop basic Total Installed Cost (TIC) estimate Material Take-Offs (MTO).
• Perform Factory & Site Acceptance tests (FAT/SAT) on vendor equipment, with potential travel requirements.
• Adhere to the company’s Project Services Quality System (PSQS).
• Specify HMI, PLC, and DCS hardware and wiring.

Roles & Responsibilities 

 

• Project Management:

Lead and manage multiple process engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget and meeting client expectations.

• Technical Leadership:

Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior engineers, interns, and contractors, ensuring adherence to industry standards, best practices, and company policies.

• Process Design:

Perform detailed process design, including preparation of basic flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, piping & instrumentation diagrams, utility summary and distribution diagrams, and equipment lists.

• Process Understanding:

Develop a deep understanding of the process design basis, process descriptions, and emergency shutdown philosophies to ensure optimal plant performance and safety.

• Thermal Sizing:

Perform thermal sizing of heat exchangers, air coolers, and other equipment to meet process requirements and optimize energy efficiency.

• Equipment Sizing:

Calculate sizes of pumps, separators, heat exchangers, air coolers, reactors, agitators, cooling towers, filters, distillation columns, vessels/tanks, and prepare equipment process datasheets.

• Pump Hydraulics:

Perform pump hydraulic calculations, create reports, and prepare datasheets for all types of pumps used in the process.

• Instrumentation:

Size control valves, orifices, and prepare process datasets for instruments such as control valves, on/off valves, flow meters, pressure gauges, temperature sensors, and level transmitters.

• Relief Device Sizing:

Analyze relief devices, perform sizing calculations, and prepare reports and datasheets according to API standards.

• Line Hydraulics:

Conduct line hydraulic analyses, calculate line sizes and pressure drops, and prepare reports and datasheets.

• Design Calculations:

Prepare design calculations using Microsoft Excel and other software tools to support process engineering deliverables.

• Compliance and Safety:

Ensure all designs, drawings, and specifications comply with relevant safety, quality, and environmental regulations, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices.

• Mentorship and Training:

Guide and train junior engineers and interns in process engineering principles, techniques, and tools to enhance their skills and expertise.

• Communication and Collaboration:

Effectively communicate project status, progress, and issues to clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
